It started with a new dad and a determination to build something lasting
In the early 2000s, Charles took a job at a pest control company — not because he was passionate about bugs, but because he had a newborn son and needed to build something stable. What he didn't expect was that pest control would become a calling. In 2024, after more than two decades in the industry, he launched Real Gone Pest Control to finally do things on his own terms.
Over the years, Charles applied himself to what he was learning. Earning various licenses in his field and eventually trained as an entomologist — also overseeing technicians and ensuring every job was done safely and correctly. That's when he started noticing something the industry didn't want to talk about.

Charles saw this firsthand — and knew there had to be a better way.
WHY IT MATTERS
Plant-based isn't a trend here — it's the whole point
Insects can't build immunity to natural botanical compounds the way they do to synthetic chemicals. That means our treatments stay effective long-term, without escalating to stronger and stronger products. And because they dissipate naturally within about two weeks, there's no dangerous lasting residue in your home or yard
So he pushed to introduce organic and botanical solutions at his company, but old habits die hard. The industry wasn't ready. So he left, got his own license, and started Real Gone Pest Control — built from the ground up on plant-based products that actually work without the trade-offs.
The decision wasn't just professional. By then, his sons Desi and Ace were growing up, and eventually getting into the business themselves. He didn't want them spending their careers handling the same harsh chemicals he'd watched affect his colleagues for years.
